lets get to know each other

12 years ago I jumped on stand up paddle board after a friend invited me to undertake a lesson with her. I was hooked from the moment I got onto that board. Fast forward to the end of 2021 and 2 boards later here I am sharing my stand up paddling adventures with you. I had a few false starts with boards , and few years where my board sat idle in my garage. Until one day I decided it was time I got out and enjoyed all that stand up paddling had to offer. 

My stand up paddling adventures started very small with just me and two girlfriends who lived around the corner (literally) in the middle of 2020 and in over 12 months we have grown a small but passionate community of all female paddlers the Mermaid Collective Adventure.  As a group we share adventure tips, occasional weekend away in and around south east Queensland. We aim to create a inclusive,  safe and positive environment for women of all ages to join us for an adventure as well we want a community to learn, grow, connect with like minded others to have fun and to have some paddling adventures along the way.

I am thrilled you are here and look forward to taking you on some adventures, share some spots to paddle, hike, camp and adventure sharing my tips on getting out into nature and exploring and enjoying all that life has to offer.
